About the Nissan Stanza

The Nissan Stanza (Violet) was a compact car sold 1977-1992 and was the successor to the Altima. The car was very popular for the time, requiring two plants to meet demand. Trim levels varied but included XE, SE and GXE in the latest gen.

The Stanza utilized many various I4 engines and could be equipped with a 3,4 & 5-speed automatic, or a 4 or 5-speed manual. Various body styles were produced including 2 or 4-door saloon, 3-door hatchback, 5-door hatchback, 5-door liftback and 5-door station wagon.
